Legal Secretary

Position Summary Ekspert Counsel is seeking a seasoned Litigation Legal Secretary to provide advanced administrative and litigation support to a team of attorneys handling complex matters in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who thrives under pressure and understands the expectations of a large law firm practice. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys handling active and complex matters. Prepare, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and correspondence in compliance with court rules. Manage federal and state court e-filings, including PACER/CM/ECF. Maintain and monitor litigation calendars, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates. Assist with discovery, document production, exhibit preparation, and trial support. Coordinate travel arrangements and process expense reimbursements. Prepare and edit client billing and time entries; assist with billing adjustments and client-specific requirements. Create and maintain organized filing systems and electronic databases. Communicate professionally with courts, clients, opposing counsel, and internal teams. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of litigation legal secretary experience, preferably in a large or sophisticated law firm environment. Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules, procedures, and deadlines. Demonstrated experience with e-filing systems and legal docketing platforms. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365, including TOC, TOA, cross-referencing, styles, and Track Changes. Experience with document management systems, Adobe Acrobat, and legal technology tools such as Litera Change Pro.
