Job Description: The Maintenance & Facility Technician is responsible for maintaining the building and grounds, overseeing maintenance and building equipment and maintaining an inventory of maintenance and facility supplies. Responsibilities include scheduling cleaning, repairs, renovations, and waste reduction initiatives, and safety inspections. Key Role Areas (KRA): 1. Building Maintenance2. Equipment Maintenance3. Safety Inspections4. Supply Management5. Waste ReductionsJob Duties & Responsibilities:KRA #1 - Building Maintenance Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and renovations. Ensure the building and grounds are well-maintained. Schedule and oversee cleaning, repairs, and renovations. KRA #2 - Equipment Maintenance Inspect and maintain building equipment and machinery. Oversee the maintenance of building equipment and machinery. Ensure the equipment and machinery are in good working condition. KRA #3 - Safety Inspections Conduct regular safety inspections. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards. Address any safety concerns promptly. KRA #4 - Supply Management Maintain and manage maintenance and facility supplies. Ensure adequate stock levels of supplies. Order and manage inventory of maintenance and facility supplies. KRA #5 - Waste Reduction Implement and oversee waste reduction initiatives. Promote sustainability practices. Monitor and report on waste reduction efforts. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and facility operations. Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, Facility Technician, or similar role. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Familiarity with safety regulations, building codes, and OSHA standards. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals. Understanding of manufacturing processes, production equipment, packaging machinery, and facility management systems a plus. Demonstrate the ability to plan, execute, and oversee projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Experience in negotiating with vendors for supplies, repairs, and services related to production and facility needs. Must have basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry skills. Desired Skills: Associate's or Technical degree in Facility Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair facility issues. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in various environmental conditions. Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques to extend equipment lifespan and reduce downtime.
