Plating Technician I Location: Lincoln, NH 03251 Pay rate: $22.89 - $24.94 (Includes shift differentials) Work schedule: 2nd Shift: 3pm-11:30pm (MON-FRI), $23.94 3rd Shift: 11pm-7:30am (MON-SAT), $24.94 4th Shift: 6am-6pm (FRI-SUN), $22.89 Overview The Plating Technician is responsible for operating assigned equipment to execute metal finishing operations. This role involves loading and unloading parts, monitoring chemical solutions, and performing various wet processes such as cleaning, etching, and plating. The technician ensures product quality through physical inspections and maintains accurate production logs while adhering to all safety and solution maintenance protocols. A $1000 sign-on bonus is available after 90 days based on performance and attendance. Specifications Loads and unloads tote pans of parts, stacks parts in baskets, racks and/or barrels, and performs racking/unracking duties. Executes cleaning, etching, desmutting, pickling, bright-dipping, dyeing, degreasing, and heat treating processes. Operates plating, coating, and wet processing equipment, including the use of electric hoists and manual lifting. Follows prescribed procedures for processing and fills baskets, racks, or barrels for tank immersion. Removes parts upon process completion and ensures proper drying. Maintains the cleanliness of tanks and work areas. Monitors the temperature of solutions and maintains daily production logs. Physically inspects processing to ensure the quality of the product produced. Performs general utility work, material handling, and assists with chemical handling and solution maintenance as needed. Troubleshoots simple to moderate problems related to the plating process. Must wear steel or composite toe safety shoes and long sleeves. Regularly stand and reach with hands and arms; frequently handle tools or controls. Regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent related experience and/or training. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Basic understanding of chemistry as it applies to the job requirements.
