Job Title: Avionics TechnicianJob Description The Avionics Technician will be responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, testing, and installation of avionics systems on Part 91 and Part 135 aircraft. This role supports a diverse fleet, including Experimental, Light Sport, Piston, Helicopter, Turboprop, Very Light Jet, and Commuter Class aircraft. Responsibilities Troubleshoot, repair, and install avionics systems with minimal supervision. Utilize avionics test equipment such as IFR-4000, IFR-6000, Air Data Test Sets, and related tools. Work with avionics platforms including Garmin, Bendix/King, Honeywell, L3, Collins, and similar systems. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, maintenance manuals, and system architecture. Perform pitot/static, transponder, altitude reporting, and RVSM testing. Complete accurate FAA-compliant maintenance documentation. Maintain a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer service. Collaborate effectively with maintenance, admin, and service teams. Essential Skills Minimum 3 years of avionics experience in a Part 145 Repair Station environment. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Garmin or equivalent avionics systems. Working knowledge of GPS / NAV / COM systems, audio panels, autopilots, EFIS / PFD / MFD / Displays, ELTs, instruments, gyros, radar, datalink/weather, traffic, and terrain systems. Experience with maintenance tracking software (e.g., Corridor). Strong computer skills. Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. Additional Skills & Qualifications Valid driver's license. Ability to qualify for an FAA Repairman Certificate per 14 CFR Part 65. Current or previous FAA Repairman Certificate preferred. Broad avionics installation, troubleshooting, programming, and repair experience. Familiarity with a wide range of avionics test equipment. Ownership of basic hand tools (specialty and calibrated tooling provided by the company). Detail-oriented with a strong quality mindset. Results-driven with a positive, team-focused attitude. Work Environment Located in Bermuda Dunes, CA, the company is an FAA-approved Part 145 Repair Station serving the corporate and general aviation industries. The work environment includes aircraft maintenance, major repairs and alterations, modifications, avionics upgrades and installations, and overhauls for Turbine Aircraft, Piston Aircraft, Turboprop Aircraft, and Rotor Aircraft. It also offers professional interior and exterior aircraft detailing. Work on a variety of aircraft, such as Gulfstream, Cessna, Bombardier, and Lear, ranging from mid-size to large-size cabins. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bermuda Dunes, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $49.00/hr.
