Job Description

A contract opportunity is available for licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide comprehensive speech therapy services within a K-12 public school setting located in the Baltimore area, MD. This role involves supporting preschool, elementary, and middle school populations with a focus on collaborative and itinerant service delivery. Key Responsibilities: Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool students at community locations, elementary students (PreK-5), and middle school students (6th-8th grade). Provide direct therapy and conduct assessments to address speech and language needs. Collaborate closely with school staff and supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-A) as part of service provision. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of therapy plans, progress notes, and compliance with school district guidelines. Participate in time-sensitive credentialing processes, including background checks and employment history verification, as mandated by state regulations. Adapt scheduling flexibility to cover full-time or part-time assignments, with some opportunities for extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services during July 2026. Qualifications: Active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech Language Pathology is required. Experience working with pediatric populations across preschool, elementary, and secondary education levels preferred. Ability to work itinerantly across multiple school sites and community preschool locations. Capacity to supervise SLP-Assistants in supporting service delivery. Compliance with House Bill 486 regarding district background checks and employment verification. Assignment Options: Full-time positions offering 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday). Part-time position available offering 30 hours per week (Monday-Thursday), with option to increase to five days. Locations served include community preschool settings, Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
