The Leader We're Looking For We are seeking a strategic, mission-driven Human Resources Director to help shape the workforce that delivers this life-changing work. This role provides strategic direction and hands-on oversight of all HR functions while ensuring EPI attracts, develops, and retains a talented, engaged, mission-aligned workforce. Your Leadership Impact Drive strategic HR leadership and partner with senior leaders to strengthen culture, workforce effectiveness, and mission alignment. Lead talent strategy through recruiting, retaining, and developing passionate, mission-driven employees. Elevate the employee experience through engagement initiatives, coaching, communication, and culture-forward practices. Oversee total rewards including compensation frameworks, benefits strategy, and equitable HR practices. Ensure compliance excellence across employment law, HR policies, HRIS processes, and documentation. Advance organizational development and champion change management. Strengthen safety and risk programs including workplace safety and Workers' Compensation oversight. Inspire and develop the HR team, foster collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in HR, business administration, or related field. A combination of education and relevant experience will be considered. 7+ years of progressive HR experience including supervisory responsibilities. HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI) preferred. Experience in nonprofit or human services settings preferred. Strong knowledge of employment law, HR best practices, and HRIS systems. Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, build relationships, and manage organizational change. This position requires a valid driver's license, and the ability to pass an extensive background check, including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, the Sex Offender registry, and a criminal history check.
