Production Assembler

Assembler - 1st Shift - Asheville - $17.50/hr. PrideStaff is recruiting for an Assembler for 1st Shift for a manufacturing company located in Asheville. Duties and Responsibilities: Perform setups and follow the first piece approval process before beginning operation. Assure tooling is maintained and always returned to its designated storage area. Perform daily safety checks per work instructions. Maintain a clean and orderly work area. Comply with all Quality Management System requirements and assure before operating any process that all work instruction training for that job has been satisfied. Support customer delivery requirements to assure 100% on time delivery. Support and drive lean manufacturing techniques including 5S, visual factory, setup reduction, cellular concepts and continuous improvement. Complete all documentation as required by work instructions. Qualifications and Requirements: High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Ability to work safely in a busy manufacturing production facility. Communicate clearly both orally and in writing. Demonstrated an ability to performing a variety of tasks simultaneously. Demonstrated an ability to work in a team environment. Basic math skills. Lift up to 50 lb, prolonged standing with pushing, pulling and twisting required.
