NICU Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift | 13-Week Travel/Contract Job | Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536 Experienced NICU Registered Nurse (RN) needed for a 13-week night shift contract supporting a neonatal intensive care team within a Level 3 Trauma Center in Plainsboro Township, NJ (08536). Job Details (NICU RN Contract) Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - NICU Location: Plainsboro Township, NJ 08536 Facility/Unit: NICU (Level 3 Trauma Center) Start Date: 04/07/2026 Contract Duration: 13 weeks (through 07/04/2026) Schedule: 3 shifts per week Shift: 12-hour night shift Hours per Week: 36 Hourly Pay Rate: $79.05/hour Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and every other holiday Work Arrangement: On-site Job Requirements (NICU RN) Experience: 3+ years of recent NICU RN experience required (high-acuity neonatal intensive care) License: Active New Jersey RN license or Compact RN license (must be in hand at time of submission) Certifications (required at submission): BLS (AHA) NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Float Requirement: Must be willing to float to Nursery or other units within like scope Skills: Strong neonatal assessment, prioritization, critical thinking, and communication skills in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Responsibilities (Neonatal Intensive Care Nursing) Deliver safe, evidence-based neonatal intensive care to critically ill and premature infants in the NICU Perform comprehensive assessments, continuous monitoring, and rapid intervention for changes in neonatal condition Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments per provider orders and NICU protocols Collaborate with neonatology providers, respiratory therapy, and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate patient care plans Provide family-centered education and support using compassionate, developmentally appropriate care practices Maintain accurate, timely documentation and support compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality standards Float as needed to Nursery or like-scope units while maintaining consistent standards of care Apply now to join our NICU healthcare team in Plainsboro Township, NJ and make an impact in neonatal critical care on the night shift.
