Job Summary The University of Colorado Boulder is accepting applications for a Temporary Executive Assistant position! This role manages the executive support functions for the Provost's Office and Cabinet including front office reception operations, scheduling and event support. Who We Are The Provost's Office is the face of the Division of Academic Affairs, as such the work unit is oriented toward providing service that supports the institution's academic role and the mission. The Division of Academic Affairs is led by the Provost, and exists to nurture, foster and support the development of outstanding academic research and instructional programs on the University of Colorado Boulder campus to ensure our students are offered academic excellence in their undergraduate and graduate educations. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be Provides efficient and effective support for the executive's office including calendar maintenance and scheduling, arranging meetings and events which may include travel, and collaboration with a broad range of contacts. Collaborates closely with the Associate Vice Chancellor and Senior Executive Advisor to the Office of the Provost and the Provost, to manage strategic calendar coordination, travel plans and events. Supports Provost's Cabinet, Deans Council and Chairs & Directors meetings. Plans and manages requests for the Provost's presence to ensure strategic and balanced use of the Provost's time with key constituencies and for university events, community interactions, travel, speaking engagements, etc. Works closely and effectively with the Provost and Associate Vice Chancellor and Senior Executive Advisor to the Office of the Provost to anticipate and prepare for upcoming commitments and responsibilities. Prioritizes time requests when scheduling and rescheduling commitments. Plans and executes events on behalf of the Office of the Provost, such as team building and celebratory events and supports off-site events for the Office of the Provost or upon the Provost's request. Leads and/or coordinates Provost-level awards and ceremonies, including the Distinguished Professor process. Advises the Associate Vice Chancellor and Senior Executive Advisor to the Office of the Provost and Provost on issues that need attention or direction. Distributes communications to the email address to the appropriate persons. Manages logistics as related to the Provost's Office operations such as ordering office supplies. Is responsible for the Provost's Conference Room (Regent 302), including access to conference room and troubleshooting issues (equipment, furniture, etc.) that arise. Note: this position will be flexible and responsive to emergent needs, and additional job responsibilities may organically arise. What You Should Know This is a full-time temporary position anticipated to last 9 months (April-December, 2026). This position offers a hybrid work modality with up to 2 days per week of remote work, dependent on executive schedules. What We Can Offer The hourly hiring range for this temporary position is $28.00 - $42.00.
