Medical Lab Scientist I With 1-2 Years of Experience/2nd shift (6:00pm -12:00am)Friday-Sunday/Onsite/Indianapolis IN Interested candidate can contact Sneha Prakash snprakash@actalentservices. com or call 317 548 1234 at the earliest Job Description Join a leading health care diagnostics and drug development company in their central laboratory for testing and bioanalysis services. As a Medical Lab Scientist, you will be an integral part of the Safety Testing Team, contributing to the delivery of quality patient care through accurate and timely test results. Responsibilities Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria. Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Monitor, operate, and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality. Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem-solving. Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents or controls. Report accurate and timely test results. Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control procedures. Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary. Assist with processing of specimens when needed. Maintain a safe work environment and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Essential Skills BS/AS Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or Medical Laboratory Technology. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, or related life science field with 12+ months of CLIA/CAP lab testing experience. Hematology and slide reading experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications ASCP or AMT certification is preferred. Instrument troubleshooting and calibration experience. Prior validation experience. Proficient with computers and familiarity with laboratory information systems. Ability to work independently and within a team environment. High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills. Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen. Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs. Work Environment Work onsite at the Indianapolis facility during the 2nd shift (6pm-12am), from Friday to Sunday. The role is focused on IVDR remediation support, testing production samples on chemistry and Automated Immunology platforms.
