Description The PCB Designer is responsible for designing, simulating, laying out, and testing printed circuit boards to ensure they meet electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing specifications. Lead PCB electrical design activities, including schematic development, component selection, and layout guidance for complex, multilayer circuit boards. Own the design of highspeed digital circuits, including processors, memory systems, and highbandwidth communication interfaces. Perform detailed PCB layout considerations, such as controlledimpedance routing, differential pair tuning, stackup planning, and powerdistribution design. Conduct signal integrity (SI) and power integrity (PI) analysis to validate design performance and ensure reliable highspeed operation. Develop resilient architectures incorporating features like redundancy, watchdogs, failsafe circuitry, and robust memory subsystems. Collaborate with crossfunctional teams (firmware, software, systems, mechanical) to ensure seamless integration of boardlevel electronics into larger systems. Perform design verification and validation, including board bringup, functional testing, environmental testing, and troubleshooting. Generate and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, BOMs, test procedures, analysis reports, and design review materials. Support manufacturing partners, providing DFM/DFT input and resolving issues in fabrication, assembly, or testing. Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, IEEE, MILSTD, etc.) and internal quality processes. Lead technical design reviews and mentor junior engineers in best practices for PCB design and highreliability electronics engineering. Skills -5+ years of experience in highperformance PCB design, -Proficient experience with Altium Designer. -Experience with high-reliability, aerospace, and/or IPC Class 3 designs. -Familiarity with advanced PCB manufacturing techniques such as blind vias and microvias. Additional Skills & Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering Technology. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate. -Preferably aerospace, defense, or other highreliability sectors. -IPC, IEEE, MILSTD standards Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Merritt Island, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $68.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
