Per Diem Retail Pharmacy Tech - Batesville, Indiana

This per diem role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed Pharmacy Technician seeking a flexible schedule within a retail/outpatient hospital pharmacy setting located in Greensburg, IN, southeast of Indianapolis. The position provides consistent PRN hours every schedule, accommodating your availability with shifts approximately 2-3 days every two weeks during standard weekday hours, primarily first shift between 9 AM and 7 PM. Key responsibilities include preparing medications under pharmacist supervision, measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and accurately recording medication dosages. You'll manage prescription processing including typing, adjudicating insurance claims, and filing both new and refilled prescriptions. Maintaining inventory by removing outdated medications and handling unclaimed prescriptions is also essential, alongside performing cashier duties and delivering excellent customer service-such as answering phones, assisting with over-the-counter products, balancing the cash register, and managing prescription filing in waiting bins.
