Position Summary The Installation Applications Engineer will focus on installation and commissioning activities for Durr Universal projects. This individual will be responsible for the identification and collection of all pertinent documents, data and information to expedite and support new and existing opportunities. A key responsibility of this individual will to organize many opportunities simultaneously with continuity and consistency to ensure all inquiries are receiving the full attention from all internal and external resources and are completed on time. This individual will also be responsible to become knowledgeable in field operations and Durr Universal's product lines and obtain national certifications to support such activities as field inspections and project Technical Field Advisor oversight. Key Responsibilities • Maintain strong working knowledge of company products, applications, and processes related to gas turbine inlet and exhaust systems. • Support customer requirements by providing clear communication, accurate documentation, and timely proposal inputs. • Review and interpret project bidding documents, specifications, and reporting requirements. • Manage third-party subcontractors by ensuring timely RFQ responses, verifying required skills and competencies, and monitoring performance against established KPIs. • Use and maintain project documentation and storage systems for accurate reference and recordkeeping. • Participate in site walks, inspections, and scope-definition visits at customer locations. • Coordinate with internal departments to expedite project tasks and ensure timely completion. • Monitor project timelines and documentation milestones to ensure compliance and progress. • Collaborate with project managers to align technical deliverables with schedules and customer expectations. • Support sales teams by reviewing project specifications and preparing required documentation. • Pursue ongoing training and obtain relevant national certifications in welding and coatings inspection (and other required business certifications). Candidate Requirements Bachelor's or associate degree in a related technical field preferred Knowledge of mechanical systems and field installation operations and processes Knowledge of software programs such as MS word, excel, projects, power point, etc. Ability to work collaboratively in team environments and meet expected deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical writing Self-starter with problem-solving and project specification review/analysis abilities Ability to convey and present technical information clearly to diverse audiences Strong project development organizational skills, with a commitment to quality and accuracy Team-oriented, proactive, and open to feedback and collaboration Ability to participate in field needs including climbing, lifting, wearing PPE, confined spaces Frequent use of computers, office equipment and field gauges and instruments Ability to participate in field projects for extended periods of time including the ability to work weekends when required Willing and able to travel on short notice. Travel requirements are based on customer and business need but could exceed 50% at times.
