job summary: Mentor other team members and collaborate extensively with our offshore development team Conduct demos, participate in technical reviews and deliver engineering excellence. location: Roanoke, Texas job type: Contract salary: $81 - 82 per hour work hours: 8am to 5pm education: Bachelors responsibilities: Proficient in distributed system design and implementation (including event-driven and microservice based architectures), and the ability to ensure high-performance, high-reliability operation of large-scale systems. Proficient Java and/or TypeScript developer with solid foundations in object-oriented programming & design patterns Experience with Spring Boot, DropWizard or TypeScript based frameworks and building REST APIs Extensive experience developing REST APIs using Java, with a strong emphasis on Spring Boot and related Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring MVC, etc.) Create robust RESTful APIs and web services, ensuring best practices in performance, security, and usability. Utilize tools such as Maven/Gradle for build automation and Git for version control. Knowledge of software development processes, and you practice Agile. Experience with cloud providers development, preferable AWS (S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDb, Lambda) Familiarity with various databases, RDS (PostgresQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDb, Cassandra, etc) You understand container & serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS) You are proficient with Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD / DDD), including using automated test frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Karma or Jasmine). You are an experienced user of one or more Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Jira). You are experienced with DevOps, and test automation. Node.JS/Express and Javascript (ES5) UI development, some exposure to ReactJS or Angular javascript frameworks Experience with any of the following programming languages - GO Lang, Python CreatingNix scripts using bash, perl etc. Proficient in designing and implementing Unix/Linux shell scripts, utilizing tools such as Bash/Shell to automate system tasks and processes.
