Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) - Travel Nurse - Burlington, MA (Travel Contract) Travel RN - PCU nights in Burlington, MA: 8-week travel nursing contract near Boston. Join a dynamic Progressive Care Unit (PCU) float pool as a Registered Nurse (RN) on 12-hour nights, working with Epic EMR and critical care patients. Ideal for PCU and step-down RNs looking for travel nursing assignments in Massachusetts and Boston-area healthcare jobs. Job Details Location: Burlington, MA 01805 (near Boston; easy access to Boston-area amenities) Assignment Length: 8 weeks (travel contract) Start Date: March 23, 2026 Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Shifts per Week: 3 Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend required Scheduling: Weekly start dates (Mondays) Estimated Weekly Salary: $2,470-$2,600/week Job Requirements Active RN license (must meet facility credentialing requirements) Minimum 1 year recent PCU, step-down, or similar acute care experience Epic EMR experience required (documentation and charting proficiency) Competent to administer and titrate pressors and other critical care medications BLS (AHA) required ACLS (AHA) and NIHSS preferred Level 1 trauma experience preferred (required if no prior travel nursing experience) Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months to be considered Ability to pass day-one clinical testing (Relias practice tests available) Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to PCU/step-down patients; manage acuity typical of progressive care and float settings Float to ED holds, inpatient holds, PACU, and other boarding units as needed (float RN responsibilities) Manage patient ratios typically between 1:3-1:5 based on acuity Float to different units in 4-hour blocks during shifts to meet clinical demand Administer and titrate pressors and other critical medications safely per hospital protocols Document all care accurately using Epic EMR and follow hospital documentation standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, case management, respiratory therapy) to optimize patient outcomes Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements Apply now to be considered for this travel nursing PCU opportunity in Burlington, MA.
