Job Description

Assist the Product Stewardship team with a variety of administrative and data management activities to support global regulatory activities. This includes responsibility for providing support of raw material changes and reviews, SDS Authoring, and chemical data management. Supports the Product Stewardship organization globally with responses to key stakeholders including regulatory inquiries, SDS authoring, and answering regulatory inquiries. Provides business support as it relates to product regulatory compliance including TSCA and REACH. This position requires the ability to read and understand raw material safety data sheets to update the regulatory data used by the product stewardship organization. This position works with Commercial, Product Management, R&D, and Operations. Support chemical regulatory activities related to documentation including updating raw material information, communicating changes to raw material classifications, data management and updating the SDS system. Assist the Sr. Manager and other colleagues in Product Stewardship with timely and appropriate responses to SDS and regulatory inquiries from customers and key stakeholders including authoring SDS as needed. Support chemical regulatory activities related to documentation including updating raw material information, communicating changes to raw material classifications, data management and updating the SDS system. Assist the Sr. Manager and Director of Product Stewardship on emerging regulations that impact Quaker Houghton products. Complete all NDA requirements from Sr. Leadership Support the Product Stewardship organization with the development of reports and templates as needed from the SDS software system. Qualifications A BS degree is required. Technical disciplines preferred include chemistry, chemical engineering, or an appropriate science related field. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in product stewardship, regulatory affairs, or product safety and working with data management systems is required. Experience in the specialty chemicals or chemicals industry a plus. (2 -3 years overall) This position will support the R&D organization. The incumbent will work independently after being trained and across various regions. Experience working with teams outside the US is a plus. Ability to analyze and prioritize issues is a required skill set. A thorough understanding of Microsoft software including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams. Ability to use provided documentation and resources to find information. Ability to learn specialized applications such as the JDE ERP, SDS Software, and SharePoint Ability to effectively communicate issues in a manner that is easily understood by key stakeholders.
