Collections Specialist (Contract | Hybrid) A leading organization near Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a motivated Collections Specialist for a hybrid contract opportunity. As a third-party recruiting partner, LHH is working closely with the hiring team to identify candidates who are driven, professional, and eager to grow their experience within collections and accounts receivable. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, account resolution, and achieving results in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform inbound and outbound collections outreach via phone and email to secure payment on past-due accounts Negotiate payment arrangements and resolve outstanding balances professionally Manage a portfolio of customer accounts from invoicing through cash collection Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and account issues Collaborate with internal teams to support collections dispute resolution Maintain accurate documentation of collections activity, payment commitments, and account notes in ERP systems Utilize Excel and reporting tools to review aging reports and prioritize collections efforts Qualifications Required: Previous experience in collections, accounts receivable, or finance-related roles Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to remain professional, firm, and solution-focused during collections conversations Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and learning new systems High school diploma or equivalent Preferred: Experience managing large account portfolios ERP or accounting system experience (Oracle or similar preferred) Strong negotiation skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced collections environment Why This Opportunity Competitive hourly pay up to $20/hour Hybrid contract role with a reputable organization Ongoing support from a dedicated recruiter throughout the hiring process Pay Details: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour Search managed by: Victoria Daggett Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
