Secondary Market Analyst Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, recently voted #1 in the nation as the best large mortgage company to work for by National Mortgage News, is seeking a Secondary Market Analyst to join our team located in Virginia Beach, Virginia! This is a mid-level to senior level role to support and enhance secondary marketing execution for a mid-sized retail mortgage lender originating approximately ~$5B annually. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands on experience across delivery, execution, pipeline analytics, hedging support, and GNMA pooling activities. What you'll be doing Support day-to-day secondary workflow for mandatory and best-efforts execution. Monitor delivery timelines, loan eligibility, documentation readiness, and investor conditions. Partner with production, underwriting, closing, funding, and post-closing teams to resolve delivery issues and support smooth trade settlement. Assist in tracking pipeline exposure, coverage levels, and key risk indicators. Analyze pipeline trends including fallout/pull-through, lock-to-close timelines, product mix, and coupon distribution. Contribute to reporting that supports hedge strategy monitoring and execution decisions. Support GNMA pool formation, certification readiness, and delivery tracking. Coordinate with post-closing and collateral teams to ensure pooling parameters are met. Maintain reporting on pooling timelines and outstanding conditions. Support lock governance processes, exception tracking, and documentation standards. Reconcile investor and internal data sources and research discrepancies. Identify opportunities to enhance reporting, automation, and workflow efficiency. Provide support and collaboration across the broader secondary marketing team. Performing other duties as assigned. What you'll bring 24 years of experience in Secondary Marketing, Lock Desk, Capital Markets support, or related mortgage operations Exposure to pipeline hedging concepts or TBA markets preferred Experience with GNMA pooling or investor delivery processes preferred Familiarity with PPE systems, LOS platforms, or investor portals preferred Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar) preferred Foundational understanding of mandatory vs. best efforts execution and general pipeline management concepts Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis) Ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset Perks Atlantic Bay offers a dynamic benefits package that includes a competitive base salary, eligibility for monthly bonuses, health insurance, 401(k), PTO, paid volunteer time and your birthday off with pay!
