Senior Rate Analyst - Pricing & Tariffs Florida Power & Light Company is the largest electric utility in the U.S., providing reliable energy to nearly 12 million Floridians. The Senior Rate Analyst supports the development, administration, and ongoing refinement of large load tariffs including customer?specific load forecasting, and alignment with regulatory and financial requirements. This role provides critical analytical support for the Company as FPL integrates new large load customers into systems, processes, fuel forecasts, and revenue models. Key responsibilities include: Understanding LLCS contracts and tariff mechanics to provide rate quotes and collateral requirements. Producing customer?by?customer load forecasts to support revenue projections and tariff pricing inputs. Monitoring performance of active large load customers under LLCS tariffs, tracking compliance with load-factor commitments, billing minimums, and tariff structures. Supporting integration of new rate classes into systems and ongoing rate quote development. Assisting in developing pricing structures for future large load tariffs and support management and rate case deliverables. Recommending tariff refinements based on billing insights, customer behavior, and system?wide economic impacts highlighted in planning and resource models. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related field; Master's preferred. 37 years of experience in utility ratemaking, financial analysis, regulatory support, or tariff administration. Strong analytical skills and familiarity with cost causation principles. Ability to interpret complex tariffs and contractual language. Experience with SQL, Excel modeling, or financial modeling tools preferred. Excellent communication skills for cross?functional coordination.
