Administrative Specialist II To The Associate Dean For Admissions The Administrative Specialist II to the Associate Dean for Admissions provides high-level administrative, operational, and project coordination support to the Associate Dean and serves as a central administrative resource for the Offices of Admissions at the University of Georgia School of Medicine. This role is critical to the effective functioning of enrollment-related operations. This position manages complex scheduling, communications, and workflow for the Associate Dean, supports cross-functional coordination among enrollment-related offices, and provides direct administrative support to the School of Medicine Admissions Committee, including preparing agendas, coordinating meetings, taking and maintaining official minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring appropriate documentation and records management. The role also assumes responsibility for key administrative functions housed within enrollment management roles. In addition, this position serves as the primary point of contact for phone and email inquiries to the Office of Admissions, providing initial response, triage, and coordination to ensure timely and accurate communication with applicants, students, faculty, and other stakeholders. The position requires exceptional judgment, discretion, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving academic medical environment. Exceptional organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including drafting and proofreading high-accuracy correspondence. Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to manage competing deadlines in a deadline-driven environment. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build effective working relationships across functional areas. Customer-service orientation with professionalism when interacting with students, applicants, families, faculty, and external stakeholders. Adaptability to evolving institutional needs.
