Position Summary/Objective The Transportation Lead role is responsible for overseeing outbound shipments made by the facility. This includes scheduling and execution of deliveries for both internal and external transportation teams. The transportation lead will review manifests and reports for accuracy and ensure compliance with all regulations. The Transportation Lead will demonstrate positive behaviors that reinforce a standard of compliance, safety and customer service. The ideal candidate has the ability to adapt to our business model and has demonstrated leadership experience, as he or she will be given responsibility over the warehouse inventory management and stocking. Previous cannabis delivery or logistics is required. Role reports to the Warehouse Manager. Responsibilities Primarily responsible for scheduling and executing all deliveries of outbound products Create and assign routes to efficiently and compliantly transfer finished goods Maintain driver roster information Maintain records for vehicle usage and ensure maintenance is performed appropriately Ensure a pleasant customer experience for our customer partners during deliveries Other duties as assigned by manager Work with a continuous process improvement mentality Maintain compliance with all Company policies, standards, values, and procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications Preferred Experience, Education and Skills: High school diploma or GED certificate Work history that demonstrates stability, progressive responsibility, and willingness to accept new duties Delivery experience (preferred) Diligence to follow detailed processes and update systems daily/as needed Good customer service skills Organizational and time management skills Solid communication and interpersonal skills A strong work ethic and integrity Proficiency in computer usage including inventory management and ERP, all MS Office applications, email, scheduling software, online conferencing, and more Willingness to be hands-on Ability to execute and work well in a team setting but also a self-starter Demonstrated ability to work comfortably and effectively within a diverse, multicultural, multigenerational environment Other Requirements: Must pass stringent background test requirements of state you will be working in. Possess valid driver's license or state ID card; authorized to work in the U.S Physical Environment Conditions: Ability to perform essential job functions for extended periods (8-10 hours per day). Frequent activities may include sitting, walking, bending, climbing ladders, reaching, and frequent use of hands for handling, grasping, and repetitive motions. Must be able to lift and carry up to 55 pounds over a distance of up to 100 feet. Work may involve exposure to cannabis odors, airborne particles, fertilizers, and high humidity in cultivation or processing areas. Job duties may be performed in retail dispensaries, cultivation rooms, or post-harvest facilities, each with varied lighting and temperature conditions. Compensation: This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime pay. Pay range is $21.00 - $23.00 per hour.
