Estimator Project Manager

Estimator Project Manager We are seeking a skilled Estimator Project Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the preparation of electrical cost estimates and bid proposals, reviewing project plans and specifications, and coordinating with vendors and subcontractors. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and excellent organizational abilities, along with a basic understanding of electrical systems and commercial construction practices. Responsibilities Assist in reviewing project plans, specifications, and contract documents. Support preparation of electrical cost estimates and bid proposals. Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment. Assist in preparing bills of materials and scope breakdowns. Utilize estimating software and Excel to build cost models. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain pricing and material quotes. Support estimators with change order pricing, budget reviews, cost tracking, and forecasting. Participate in site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project walk-throughs. Maintain organized estimating files and documentation. Track project conversion rates and estimating performance. Stay informed on industry trends, codes, and pricing updates. Essential Skills 13 years of estimating, construction, or electrical industry experience (internships, apprenticeships, or field experience considered); 5 years of commercial plumbing. Basic understanding of electrical systems, components, and commercial construction practices. Familiarity with blueprint reading, project drawings, and technical specifications. Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and organizational abilities. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn estimating software, pricing strategies, and industry standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications Exposure to underground electrical or construction estimating is preferred. Familiarity with estimating platforms such as Accubid, Autobid, or similar systems is a plus. Experience supporting or running construction or electrical jobs. Experience working with field crews or coordinating with project teams. Experience assisting with commercial plumbing, electrical, or multi-trade projects. Understanding of project phases including underground work and pad readiness. Exposure to managing or supporting crews (68 workers or similar team environments). Ability to support projects from field execution through office estimating coordination. Knowledge of project cost tracking, production targets, and conversion. Why Work Here? Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
