Procurement Business Analyst The Procurement Business Analyst is a critical, high-impact role that bridges the gap between procurement operations, data analytics, and strategic business goals. This individual is responsible for transforming raw procurement data into actionable insights that drive cost savings, mitigate risk, and optimize the procure-to-pay (P2P) lifecycle. This role involves analyzing complex datasets, identifying spending trends, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting strategic sourcing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical problem-solver with a strong understanding of procurement processes and a talent for communicating complex information to diverse stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and enhance procurement dashboards and reports (e.g., in Power BI or Tableau) to track key performance indicators (KPI's), such as cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and spend under management. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities, sourcing efficiencies, and areas for supplier consolidation. Provide analytical support for RFP, RFQ and RFI processes, helping to evaluate supplier bids and total cost of ownership (TCO). Conduct market intelligence research to identify supplier trends, commodity price fluctuations, and potential risks, providing valuable insights to category managers. Analyze and map existing procurement processes (e.g., requisitioning, purchasing, invoicing) to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation. Collaborate with IT and business units to help gather requirements for and implement improvements to procurement systems (e.g., ERP, P2P platforms). Develop and monitor supplier performance scorecards, analyzing data to ensure suppliers are meeting contractual obligations and performance targets. Analyze contract compliance, identifying off-contract spending and working with stakeholders to drive adherence to preferred supplier agreements. Act as the primary analytical partner for the procurement team, finance, and key business departments. Translate complex data findings into clear, concise, and compelling recommendations for non-technical audiences to support decision-making. Skills and Knowledge: Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Data Science, or a related field. Experience: 3-5+ years of experience in a business analyst, data analyst, or procurement role. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables, complex formulas, data modeling). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). Proficiency with SQL for data extraction and manipulation. Familiarity with ERP or P2P systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba). Experience managing large datasets, use of AI tools, and data management best practices Target Base Salary Range: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00
