Event Specialist The Event Specialist will coordinate all assigned corporate, store, community, social selling lives and merchant-driven promotional programs, with a focus on promotional events executed in stores. This role will manage and maintain budgets, vendor and partner relations for each event. This role will need to work closely with marketing teams to execute the most efficient and effective promotional events to support the marketing calendar of events. The roles mission is to drive sales, conversion and brand engagement through strategically designed experiences that elevate the customer journey and deliver measurable business outcomes. Research, plan and execute special events that drive traffic, communicate brand to customers and increase sales. Support social selling lives and vendor requests as needed. Hiring and management of event vendors. Negotiate between various vendors and price points to stay in line with budget. Partner with internal legal team to execute and negotiate vendor contracts Support building store facing messages and directives for event and social selling initiatives Work independently to develop working plan to deliver executed details on time and on budget Problem solve roadblocks or delays to ensure an on-time and flawless execution of events Exchange the below with Store event manager Work diligently with store event manager to develop and create documents to communicate event information to stores and management, utilizing existing corporate resources and creating new tools to streamline store communications processes. Schedule special event conference calls to plan and review events with key players merchants, vendors, store teams, etc. Organize and request support materials for all events: coupons, signs, social media needs, email, flyers, postcards, call lists, event supplies, etc. Analyze event results and ROI and develop budgets based on past sales and events. Document and share results with leadership to demonstrate effectiveness of store events. Work with the communications department and public relations team and agency on coordinating press releases related to in-store special events or corporate promotions. Create events that tell an intriguing press-worthy story to customers and share that story. Understand and maintain the special events budget and work within set guidelines established by department manager Ensure vendor payments by processing all invoices for assigned events in a timely manner Regularly update budget status for assigned projects!!Provide month end budget accruals, meeting established deadlines Perform any additional events and/or tasks assigned by your manager Work experience: 1-3 years of events planning and execution experience required Knowledge, skills & abilities: Problem-solving skills PC skills Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word Organizational and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to communicate effectively both oral and written Ability to meet deadlines Proven ability to effectively plan and execute medium to large scale events Travel requirements: Travel and store time approximately 40%-50%; travel to all major events and grand openings and live events Accessibility guidelines: Belkcareers.com is committed to making the on-line application experience easy and accessible to individuals with disabilities.
