Job Summary Performs final, in-process or receiving inspections, and other quality processes according to specifications and build requirements. Principal Responsibilities Ability to read, effectively communicate, and fully understand engineering / customer drawings, specifications. Determine product conformance to customer specifications, engineering/ customer drawings, manufacturer's specifications, customer and internal purchase orders, company processes and procedures and other such specifications and requirements. Ability to read and fully understand engineering/customer drawings, specifications, and purchase orders to effectively communicate discrepancies Familiarity with defense / aerospace / military/ avionics customer requirements and have the ability to understand quality flow downs on purchase orders. May coordinate or assist in developing and maintaining all AS/ISO system documentation, including work instructions and departmental policies and procedures. Identifies, investigates, and participates in opportunities to improve processes and procedures. Tech will be required to get certified for all customers and value add processing. Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods of time and have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Job Level Specifications Extensive knowledge of defense/aerospace/avionic customers, job content, practices & procedures. Extremely proficient using computer, Microsoft office, and accessing customer portals. Has specialized knowledge enabling high level of contribution to multiple tasks. Work is performed under minimal guidance and assigned in the form of desired expectations. Independent judgment is used to determine best approach and sound reasoning is expected to achieve maximum results. Collaboration with internal or external contacts. May participate on teams for special assignments. Responds to requests from senior management, internal and/or external contacts. Travel may be required Work Experience Typically, 5+ years Quality Assurance inspection in electronics / manufacturing environment and defense / aerospace / military / avionics experience is preferred Receiving, in process, and/or final inspection of electronic, mechanical, and electro-mechanical product and/or assemblies Experience with any of the following: receiving inspection, in process inspection, final inspection, source inspection, or 1st article inspection including AS9102 FAIR's Knowledge of QA process with nonconforming material Education and Certification(s): High School Diploma or equivalent Distinguishing Characteristics: Customer delegated source quality inspection or DQR/DSQR certifications highly preferred.
