Recruiter The Recruiter delivers full life-cycle recruiting for technical, analytical, and corporate support roles and serves as a consultative talent partner to hiring managers, HR business partners (HRBPs), and business leaders. This role drives timely, high-quality hiring outcomes through proactive sourcing, structured assessment, stakeholder management, and data discipline within iCIMS. This role has current hybrid workplace flexibility, and candidates must be available to work in-person two days per week at our Detroit, MI office location. Urban Science does not and will not provide immigration related sponsorship for this role, now or in the future. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Own full-cycle recruiting, including requisition intake, sourcing, screening, interview coordination, selection, offer creation and delivery, candidate closing, pre-employment procedures, and onboarding, which includes background checks and completion of confidentiality agreements. Partner with HRBPs and business leaders to align recruiting strategies with business priorities, workforce plans, and talent-market conditions. Build and maintain candidate pipelines using advanced sourcing methods (LinkedIn/social, talent databases, referrals, networking, targeted outreach). Conduct structured candidate evaluations to assess role-related qualifications, competencies, and alignment with Urban Science values. Coordinate interviews and debriefs; guide consistent, equitable selection decisions and candidate dispositioning. Maintain accurate requisition/candidate workflows, documentation, and reporting in iCIMS; provide stakeholder updates and recruiting metrics. Protect confidentiality and operate with high integrity and compliance throughout the recruiting process. Represent Urban Science at career fairs and recruiting events as needed to support hiring plans. Qualifications - Education and Experience Core competencies: Full life-cycle recruiting (technical/analytical) Strategic sourcing & pipeline development HRBP & business leader partnership (consultative influence) Structured selection & competency-based assessment Stakeholder communication & process governance ATS & data quality (iCIMS), reporting, and metrics Candidate experience, compliance, and confidentiality KSAOs (knowledge, skills, abilities, other) Technical and analytical labor markets; web-based sourcing techniques; equitable hiring practices and compliance principles. Consultative recruiting partnership with HRBPs/hiring leaders; sourcing strategy; structured screening/interviewing; clear written and verbal communication. Manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment; rapidly learn organizational structure and role requirements; drive results through influence and follow-through. High integrity, discretion, customer-service orientation, and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree (HR, business, psychology, or related) or equivalent combination of education/experience. 2+ years of recruiting experience (technical and/or analytical recruiting preferred). Proficiency with ATS/HRIS tools; ability to become highly proficient in iCIMS. Experience managing multiple searches concurrently with strong organization, communication, and follow-through. Preferred qualifications: Career fair/event recruiting experience. HR certifications such as PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PRC, CIR, and ACIR are preferred, covering recruiting, compliance, candidate engagement, sourcing, and strategy. Work location / hybrid: This is a hybrid, part-time role (32 hours/week) Detroit, MI In-person work is required based on team and business needs Compensation / pay transparency (base salary): Good-faith estimate of the annualized base salary range expected upon hire for this part-time (32 hours/week) role; pay is determined by geographic location, as well as job-related factors including experience, skills, and internal equity.
