Delivery Operations Specialist

The Delivery Operations Specialist will manage and operate store vehicles to safely deliver parts and products to our professional customers while ensuring efficiency. This position also includes collecting payments on C.O.D. deliveries and handling customer returns. Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Safely and efficiently operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers. Utilize delivery fleet management devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily inspections. Maintain cleanliness and functionality of vehicles, and complete daily inspections prior to operation. Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, handheld devices, and collected payments secure at all times. Collect customer returns and accurately fill out driver return slips. Communicate customer needs or problems to store management effectively. Promptly report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damages to the store manager. Ensure vehicles are fueled and locked at the end of the business day. Clock in/out according to company policy. Assist with other duties as assigned such as customer service, stocking, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, and checking in stock orders. When required, assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks. SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES Required: Proficiency in quickly matching alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly to changing delivery situations. Driving record must meet company standards. Possession of a valid state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements. Desired: Familiarity with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment.
