Medical, Dental, Vision 401K Generous PTO Extremely strong pipelineJob DetailsThe MEP Project Manager develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing facets necessary to construct the project on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. The PM provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members and the client to promote the interest of both the company and the client in all matters. The PM is the primary leader for the construction project and is charged with utilizing their experience and knowledge to make expeditious decisions, model efficiency and run projects efficiently.Primary Duties:Leading in administering the safety program for the projectEnsuring superintendents have the necessary trades, materials, and equipment available to efficiently construct the projectOverseeing subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, etc. to support project schedule delivery and scope of work commitmentsPerforming and overseeing of project specific QA/QC practices to ensure project delivered to project specifications standards of qualityCompleting and communicating daily reports of activities that were scheduled and competed, along with other communications regarding the project's progress to all stakeholdersCompleting walk-throughs of the site to ensure safety, cleanliness, and standards are maintainedIdentifying and resolving field and design issuesLeading meetings to coordinate work and manage labor concernsRepresenting the site team in owners' meetingsDeveloping and maintaining the site logistics plan for the project in conjunction with the General SuperintendentDeveloping scopes of work for each subcontractorPerforming constructability reviewsArranging and leading preconstruction meetings with all subcontractors prior to beginning each phase of workTracking field progress against the plan, assisting in the development of the recovery plans if necessaryParticipating in ensuring quality control is in accordance with the established project quality assurance programScheduling and leading the project close-out processCoordinating punch list items and proceduresManaging of the project permit processParticipating in the development of strategic plans including VDCDemonstrate Core Values and PrinciplesFollow Code of ConductSafety Responsibilities and Expectations Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Safety Procedures and Work PracticesReport all incidents, near hits and hazards to management.Required to wear and maintain personal PPE.Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.Participate in workplace inspections.Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care.Participate in required and/or assigned training.Provide suggestions to improve Safety. Present a mature approach to working safely.Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations.Other related duties as needed and assigned by Management in support of the successful completion of the project. Qualifications:An undergraduate University degree or higher (preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or a closely related field) is preferred Other relevant education, training or work experience may substitute for bachelor's degree Minimum of five (5) years construction management experienceExperience in managing trades valued at $50MMExperience with large / complex safety plan implementationPMP certified preferred Requirements:Strong working knowledge of programs such as Primavera, Excel, Word, and MS ProjectExperience with large / complex safety plan implementationA proven track record of organizing project teams to accomplish project goalsEffective negotiation and contract management skills to represent the company with the ClientExperience in managing a project using established methods of cost reporting, i.e. cash flow, safety, cost, schedule, VDCExtensive knowledge of all facets of constructionA proven track record of organizing project team to accomplish project goalsUnderstand contract types and terms, i.e. General Conditions, Burn Rates, Fee Analysis,Understand various insurance programs, i.e. SDI, BR policies, OCIP, CCIP Competencies:Strong leadership skillsStrong problem solving and analytical skillsStrong prioritization and organizational skills; detail-orientedTechnically astute and strategic in thinkingStrong interpersonal skills along with excellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to focus on details and can work well within a deadline driven environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsWell-rounded base of knowledge in construction disciplinesAbility to work independently, multi-task, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.Business AcumenAdaptabilityCritical ThinkingProblem SolvingDecision MakingStrategyLeadershipCollaborationFinancial AcumenTime ManagementInterested in hearing more?
