Join our dedicated community and help us prioritize health! The Associate Director of IT Disaster Recovery plays a vital role in leading and shaping our enterprise-wide disaster recovery strategy. This position is essential for overseeing compliance, governance, and resilience operations. You will manage data management, audit response, controls management, and regulatory reporting activities that are crucial for maintaining both regulatory requirements and operational readiness. This role bridges the gap between IT and Business Continuity, facilitating effective business capability mapping and understanding process-to-application dependencies. You will also lead the administration and development of the ServiceNow Disaster Recovery module and ensure training and documentation are aligned with our program goals. Key Responsibilities: Direct all disaster recovery compliance efforts, focusing on data management, governance, and regulatory reporting. Oversee both internal and external audit preparations to ensure our organization is ready for Medicare/Medicaid and other regulatory audits. Manage IT controls while coordinating RFP responses related to disaster recovery needs. Conduct annual audits of SaaS providers to verify that vendors meet recovery and resiliency objectives, reporting on any identified gaps. Drive vendor due diligence for new and renewing contracts to ensure recovery-focused language is included and adhered to. Work closely with Business Continuity leaders to enhance our business capability mapping and strengthen the analysis of process-to-application dependencies. Administer and develop the ServiceNow Disaster Recovery module to align with program goals and enhance functionality. Manage program training initiatives and documentation to keep all stakeholders informed and maintain compliance standards. Provide compliance reporting and insights to senior leadership, contributing to informed decision-making. Assist in vendor testing to verify recovery objectives and bolster audit responses with solid compliance data. Stay informed on evolving regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure our program is cutting-edge. Collaborate on all merger and acquisition activities to facilitate a smooth transition into Humana's disaster recovery program. Lead with proactivity and a results-driven mindset, focusing on continuous improvement. Maintain composure and provide effective leadership during high-pressure situations. Think strategically and approach complex problems with a collaborative mindset. Possess strong relational and communication skills to influence and engage with associates, leaders, and executives. Make a meaningful impact with your skills! Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A minimum of 7-10 years in IT infrastructure, business continuity, or disaster recovery, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. A strong passion for contributing to a team that is dedicated to transforming disaster recovery practices and focusing on continuous improvement. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., DRII, CBCP, or similar) are preferred. Certifications like Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) are a plus. Additional Information: Work-At-Home Requirements: Must have a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Residents working from home in California will receive payment for their internet expenses. A minimum standard speed of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required. Satellite and wireless Internet service are NOT permitted for this position. A dedicated workspace free from interruptions to protect member PHI/HIPAA information is necessary. Travel: Although this is a remote position, some travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full-time (40 hours per week) employment. Actual pay may vary based on geographic location and individual qualifications. $142,300 - $195,700 per year This role is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
