Job Description Summary Join our dynamic team as the Compressor Airfoils Lean Leader, where you will play a pivotal role in advancing GE's lean manufacturing principles within our Compressor Airfoils shops. Reporting to the RPCA Executive FLIGHT DECK Leader, you will be instrumental in implementing FLIGHT DECK strategies to enhance product flow, optimize processes, and contribute to significant lead time and cash flow improvements. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities Lead and Execute transformative initiatives within manufacturing lines to meet operational goals through effective KPI-based performance management. Coach and Collaborate with diverse teams across all levels—moving seamlessly between Operators, Support Staff, and leadership—to foster FLIGHT DECK progression and drive Continuous Improvement. Be a Champion of Kaizen and facilitate impactful Kaizen events to accelerate improvements utilizing Pull, Kanban, Standard Work, 5S, and Single-Piece Flow principles. Develop expertise in a wide range of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and Industrial Methods, while mentoring associates on lean principles. Partner with Operations and Engineering leaders to implement a standardized Capacity Utilization process that supports high-performance outcomes. Enhance labor and machine utilization by evaluating work methods, layouts, and recommending innovative job designs. Streamline workflows by analyzing process flow charts, suggesting improvements, and creating new operational procedures. Engage actively in the Part Family's Daily Management activities, including management meetings, Genba walks, and Kata coaching cycles. Guide teams using the Kata process to promote rapid experimentation and systematic problem-solving. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. At least 5 years of experience in leading lean transformations within Manufacturing or Operations. Hands-on knowledge and experience applying lean methodologies on the shop floor (standardized work, material & information flows, level production, and pull systems). Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time. Relocation support is available for candidates willing to move to Rutland, VT. Desired Characteristics & Experience: 10 years of experience driving lean transformation in Manufacturing or Operations settings. Skilled in assessing key business metrics to leverage lean principles for improvement. Ability to influence and persuade stakeholders effectively, establishing credibility in lean practices. Strong team player with customer-focused urgency and the ability to lead when necessary. Exceptional communication skills that resonate from the shop floor to executive levels. Adept problem solver with strong analytical skills willing to challenge existing processes. Pay and Benefits: The base pay for this position ranges from $159,000 to $212,000. Candidates residing in MA can expect a range from $192,050 to $255,300, with specific pay influenced by experience, education, and skills. This position also includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus based on company performance.
