Registered Respiratory Therapist with Sign-On Bonus

Overview: Join our dedicated team at Resurrection Medical Center as a qualified Respiratory Therapist II (RCP II/RRT). Located at 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631, our Respiratory Therapy department is seeking an individual eager to make a positive impact on patient care. This role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus and involves providing comprehensive respiratory therapy services, including ventilator management and pulmonary diagnostics, across all patient age groups. Schedule: 12-hour night shifts with rotating holidays and weekends. Key Responsibilities: Deliver respiratory treatments and manage ventilators based on physician orders. Administer oxygen therapy and perform arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and patient assessments. Collaborate with critical care, emergency, and neonatal teams to enhance patient outcomes. Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory standards. Act as shift lead when assigned, providing support and mentorship to team members. Qualifications: State Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) License required. Current BCLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintenance of this certification is essential. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required. Preferred: 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner. ACLS certification must be obtained within 60 days of hire and maintained. NRP certification is preferred. PALS certification must be acquired within 60 days of hire and maintained. Preferred: Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science Degree. A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
