Department/Unit: Vascular Surgery - C5 Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $88,192.00 - $136,697.60 Job Description Summary The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues. By demonstrating kindness and active listening, you help create a caring atmosphere that values the contributions of every team member. Job Responsibilities: Implement physician orders and administer medications, including starting IVs and performing essential treatments and tests while documenting as per company guidelines and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patients' needs effectively. Conduct thorough assessments to determine patients' care requirements and evaluate responses to services provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment to make informed decisions in patient care management. Provide prompt primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as directed. Collaborate with nursing colleagues to develop tailored Plans of Care for each patient. Guide and direct ancillary staff while upholding professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree. Current New York State Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care. Strong communication, organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts and principles, with demonstrated problem-solving capabilities to support departmental and patient care quality improvement efforts.
