Job Description The MEP Data Center Construction Delivery Manager is pivotal in overseeing the execution of sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) activities in major data center projects at Oracle. This role serves as a technical and project delivery expert, collaborating closely with developers, contractors, and internal partners to guarantee that MEP construction adheres to design, quality, safety, schedule, and budget goals. The ideal candidate will instill contractor accountability, risk management, and best practices in MEP systems, significantly contributing to the delivery of exceptional data center infrastructure that fuels Oracle's growth. Position is onsite in Saline, Michigan. Responsibilities Key responsibilities include: Providing technical leadership to the developers managing all MEP construction activities for data center projects. Reviewing and monitoring contractor and vendor management, ensuring compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Tracking project schedules and milestones from developers, identifying risks, and ensuring timely delivery of critical objectives. Managing MEP budgets through the developer, ensuring invoicing, change orders, and scope align are compliant and accurate. Collaborating with internal teams to integrate MEP systems with broader project and business needs. Conducting site visits and oversight audits to ensure adherence to quality, safety, and progress standards by the developer and general contractor. Identifying risks and suggesting mitigation strategies by evaluating developer plans proactively and reporting concerns to leadership. Promoting the adoption of innovative and efficient MEP solutions by guiding the developer toward best practices. Reporting progress, challenges, and escalations to internal stakeholders and leadership for alignment and transparency. Ensuring developer compliance with local regulations, building codes, safety requirements, and Oracle's standards. Mentoring junior staff and cross-functional partners on MEP oversight to foster a collaborative, high-performance culture. Supporting commissioning, transition, and close-out activities by validating the developer's processes for operational readiness. Minimum qualifications 3-5 years of experience in delivering mission-critical facilities, particularly in data center construction. Strong expertise in MV/HV/LV power systems, grounding/bonding, power quality, and protection coordination. Hands-on experience with submittals/RFIs, FAT/SAT/IST, and energization events. Familiarity with NEC, NFPA standards, and the ability to review SKM/ETAP studies. Proven experience interacting with Developers/GC/A/E and electrical trades on large projects. Preferred qualifications CxA, PMP, or similar certifications. Experience with major OEMs (switchgear, UPS, generators) and factory testing/witnessing. Knowledge of DCIM/BMS integration and cybersecurity considerations for connected equipment. Familiarity with structured cabling/LV dependencies for device power and telemetry.
