Core Responsibilities: Drive Safety Program Excellence: Lead comprehensive safety programs using data-driven strategies. Conduct daily safety audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments while implementing innovative solutions to prevent injuries. Engaging Safety Training: Deliver impactful safety training that resonates with associates and nurtures a proactive safety culture. Champion Continuous Improvement: Initiate and promote continuous improvement strategies that enhance workplace safety while preserving operational efficiency. Build Associate Advocacy: Serve as a trusted safety advisor, fostering strong partnerships across all organizational levels and cultivating a culture where safety is everyone’s priority through effective communication and coaching. Additional Job Elements: Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach. Stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts. Work in environments with varying noise levels and temperatures. Continuously climb and descend stairs (applicable at sites with stairs). Assist with emergency response at the site and maintain effective care delivery during emergencies. Must be available for flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends. For those without a valid First Aid, CPR, AED certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, certification must be obtained within 3 weeks of the start date. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 1 year in an environmental Health & Safety (EHS) field, or a bachelor’s degree in a relevant area, or 6 months of experience in a safety-related role within Amazon. Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional environment. Ability to handle confidential matters related to security or personal issues in the workplace. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in a safety-related field. Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, judgment, and customer focus skills. Experience leading teams and managing safety initiatives, including analyzing accident data and conducting job hazard analyses. Experience in emergency response and possession of current First Aid and CPR certifications. Background in workers’ compensation case management. The base salary range for this position is listed below: $27.00 - $33.00 USD hourly. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
