Grocery Department Management Assistant

In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing and guiding a team of up to 25 associates within the Grocery Department, with potential assignments in the HBC/GM Department as well. Your leadership will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation, coordination, and evaluation of departmental activities. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing store operations while adhering to company policies and legal standards. Participate in the hiring and training processes for new associates. Plan, assign, and monitor work assignments of team members. Evaluate performance, implement reward systems, and address associate concerns effectively. Resolve customer complaints and operational problems to enhance customer satisfaction. Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent experience (2-3 years in a related field is preferred). Personal Skills: Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset. Commitment to completing required training aimed at boosting customer satisfaction and sales. Technical Skills: Proficiency in HT Internet software, email, inventory management systems, spreadsheets, and word processing tools. Language Skills: Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence in English. Skilled at presenting information effectively in various scenarios. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical operations and handle quantities of American money and weight measurements. Reasoning Ability: Capable of following detailed instructions and solving problems involving standardized situations. Training Requirements: Successful completion of company training programs, including orientation, food safety, customer service, and product knowledge. Physical Demands: This position involves regular standing, walking, and the use of hands for various tasks. Occasional lifting and moving of up to 60 pounds, along with reaching and climbing.
