Discover more about us. Your Role We are looking for a passionate Director of Professional Services to lead our Professional Services business. In this key position, you will develop strategies that enhance support for our Sales team, driving software subscription revenue while providing exceptional service that boosts customer satisfaction. You will manage a skilled team of Consultants, Solution Architects, and Project Managers, as well as collaborate with service partners to create an efficient and cost-effective delivery network. Key Responsibilities Promote Customer Experience (CX) services proactively alongside the EDB Sales team during sales cycles to align with customer expectations. Help customers achieve their goals using EDB products, driving positive growth in Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) and Net Revenue Retention (NRR). Define technical specifications for service delivery and create comprehensive proposals outlining service offerings clearly. Collaborate with EDB Sales to streamline the contracting processes for CX services. Participate in business reviews and contribute to customer interactions to effectively position services. Lead initiatives that improve service attach rates and meet revenue targets quarterly. Support our ecosystem of certified partners to ensure high-quality and profitable service delivery. Negotiate fair commercial terms for service agreements according to organizational guidelines and best practices. Monitor success metrics and operational parameters, including customer satisfaction and project timelines, reporting to the VP of Professional Services. Manage financial targets for professional services, keeping close track of bookings, revenue, gross margins, and team utilization. Ensure all service deliveries consistently meet or surpass customer expectations while achieving revenue goals. Work with regional teams to enhance service delivery efficiency and monitor operational success metrics. Partner with Customer Success teams to guarantee value-driven outcomes for our clients. Inspire and lead your team through coaching and development opportunities. Act as the executive sponsor for strategic customer engagements and initiatives. Develop and implement a strategic vision for the department that aligns with EDB's mission and values. Influence senior leadership regarding effective professional services and go-to-market strategies. Qualifications 15+ years of experience managing and growing a Professional Services business in enterprise technology, data, or AI. 10+ years of experience building and leading services teams with a proven track record of meeting booking, revenue, and margin targets. Expertise in contract negotiation and development within professional services. Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and exceptional follow-through. Strong stakeholder management and a customer-first mindset. Excellent communication skills with accountability in reporting to senior leadership. Ability to effectively lead a team of 10+ in a fast-paced environment. Experience with subscription-based business models and on-premises/SaaS solutions. Proven track record of enhancing service quality, reliability, and efficiency. Experience managing multi-functional professional services teams. Recognized as an expert in Professional Services. Willingness to travel up to 50% as required. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with database technologies or AI platforms. Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders within IT and Applications. Advanced project management abilities. Previous experience in the Public Sector, especially with U.S. Federal clients.
