Your mission includes: Designing innovative network platforms for the future Enhancing the effectiveness of Navy technologies Developing and deploying information systems, command and control, and space systems Contributing to the Information Dominance Corps by gaining insights into adversaries and the battlespace during wartime RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead Naval network warfare missions by creating tactics and procedures for tactical, strategic, and business advantages Promote interoperability with joint, allied, and coalition partners Encourage professional excellence through education, training, and certification Utilize cutting-edge technologies to enhance organizational effectiveness Supervise Information Systems Technicians who specialize in information technology WORK ENVIRONMENT Cyber Communications Specialists work in diverse, challenging environments with increasing levels of responsibility, including: Serving on Battle Group staffs on ships at sea Participating in C4I/Space/Surveillance operations during shore tours Engaging in major Navy and joint staff collaboration Commanding key communication and surveillance facilities globally TRAINING & ADVANCEMENT Candidates for the Cyber Communications Specialist position must attend Officer Candidate School (OCS) and complete the IP Basic Course of instruction. All candidates must be: U.S. citizens Willing to serve worldwide Eligible for a Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) security clearance Qualified for sea duty General qualifications may vary based on your service history.
