Buyer (Full-Time) Industrial Profile Systems Akron, Ohio Salary/Exempt Job Description The Buyer will coordinate procurement activities, ensuring the efficient acquisition of goods at fair prices. This position is responsible for maintaining communication and relationships with vendors, updating the Operations Manager on performance of various suppliers, recommending appropriate actions, and assisting engineering department with finding purchasing alternatives. Pay Range: $55,000 - $75,000 Job Responsibilities - Buyer Advise department heads regarding purchase and supply requirements, specifications, quantity and quality of merchandise and delivery needs Explore and recommend alternatives to save or improve delivery Solicit and analyze quotations for new or nonstandard items Place purchase orders based on assigned authorization Survey vendors regarding pricing, availability, and delivery times to determine best and/or possible new supply sources Research and resolve problems with vendors and company departments to facilitate the purchasing process Maintain proficiency in automated systems used for purchasing functions such as inventory control, vendor contract information, cost control and receiving Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed Desired Skills & Experience - Buyer Associate's degree or higher required Minimum of 1 year of related experience Problem solving, Negotiation, Persuasion Judgment and decision making Well organized with an aptitude for details Effective verbal and written communication skills Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision Company Description Industrial Profile Systems, formerly MB Kit Systems, LLC, is the premium provider of engineering and design services utilizing our structural aluminum and modular components to create mechanical hardware solutions across a wide range of industries.
