Part-Time Dental Hygiene Specialist

Title: Dental Hygienist Office: Millennium Periodontics Location: 223 W Jackson Blvd, Suite 1275, Chicago, Illinois, US, 60606 Position Type: Part Time Schedule: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every other Friday Join our dedicated team at Millennium Periodontics as a compassionate and meticulous Dental Hygienist. In this rewarding role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality preventive dental care, educating patients on effective oral hygiene practices, and collaborating with our dental team to ensure each patient has an exceptional experience. Your expertise and patient-centered approach will significantly contribute to promoting lasting oral health within our community. Key Responsibilities: Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing as necessary. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as part of patient assessments. Conduct detailed oral health assessments and document conditions of teeth and gums. Educate patients on correct oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies. Apply sealants and fluoride treatments when beneficial. Prepare treatment rooms and ensure sterilization of instruments in accordance with infection control guidelines. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures as required. Accurately document patient care and treatment plans in dental records. Monitor and maintain hygiene supplies and equipment efficiently. Ensure adherence to HIPAA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
