Location: UCHealth Memorial Admin Ctr, Colorado Springs, CO Department: MHN Outpatient Oncology Infusion Work Schedule: Full Time, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming environment for patients seeking oncology services. You will be responsible for reception, registration, and essential clerical tasks to ensure smooth patient access to care. Responsibilities: Engage with patients and/or their caregivers to exchange vital information and documentation. Provide clear explanations of services, instructions, and address any concerns they may have. Collaborate with referring providers' offices and clinical departments to ensure accurate information sharing and scheduling. Verify insurance benefits and secure required pre-certifications or authorizations. Facilitate payment collection for co-pays and deductibles and refer patients to financial counselors as necessary. Ensure all demographic and billing information is accurately entered into the registration system. Utilize critical thinking and judgment to operate independently in a fast-paced setting, making informed decisions that benefit patient care. Requirements: Minimum Required Education: No formal education requirements. Required Licensure/Certification: Relevant life support certification as determined at position level.
