A Brief Overview As an Auto Glass Technician, you will be at the forefront of delivering a top-notch Safelite experience. This role is perfect for entrepreneurial spirits who can apply their training and use cutting-edge tools and technology to expertly perform repairs, replacements, and recalibrations both in our shop and on-the-go through our Mobile Glass Shop services. What You Will Do: Deliver vehicle glass repair and replacement services efficiently at a Safelite Shop or Mobile Glass Shop, prioritizing safety, quality, and outstanding customer service. Clean customer vehicles after each job to ensure a pleasant experience. Recalibrate automotive safety systems, troubleshoot, and carry out diagnostic testing as needed. Utilize Safelite's tools and technologies, including True SealĀ®, Ezi-Wire, Glass Table System (GTS), and handheld Mobile Resource Management (MRM) technology. Safely operate company and customer vehicles during the workday. Engage with customers in a professional manner, communicating via in-person visits, text, and phone calls; promote and sell Safelite services and products. Adhere to all policies and perform other duties as assigned. What You'll Get: A competitive starting pay of $20.25/hour, increasing to $24/hour after training and certification. Options to buy additional PTO or sell unused time (up to 16 hours). Up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement. Paid training with all necessary tools and resources provided. Education Qualifications: Preferred: High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent. Required: Valid state-issued driver's license and any relevant licenses needed to operate a company vehicle. Required: Safelite SafeTech certification. Experience Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Skills and Abilities: Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Willingness to stand for prolonged periods and work in tight spaces or varying weather conditions. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely. Ability to operate a motor vehicle in compliance with all laws; you will be monitored for safety and compliance. Maintain strong professionalism and a commitment to exceptional customer service. Adaptability to work outdoors in diverse weather conditions. Ability to handle chemicals safely, per Safelite's regulations. Flexibility to work scheduled hours accommodating customer needs. Proficient in using computerized diagnostic tools for recalibrations. Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach in troubleshooting. Ability to read, write, and interpret English and technical directions. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Maintain a professional appearance in alignment with company policies. Exhibit resilience and stability under pressure or productivity measures.
