Job Description

Join our dedicated team where we prioritize health and safety, aiding our clients in protecting their communities. As a Senior Safety Supervisor, you will play a key role in driving the development, implementation, and management of safety protocols, occupational health measures, and fire protection standards. Based in Corpus Christi, TX, you will have the opportunity to assess Health & Safety performance across multiple projects and generate insightful reports that include recommendations for project teams to enhance their safety practices. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing and assisting with training operations personnel to foster a culture of safety. You will lead teams to ensure a consistent improvement in key safety metrics, identify gaps in Health & Safety programs, and investigate personal injuries and property damage incidents. Preparation of essential forms and reports will be crucial, adhering to program procedures as well as federal, state, and local regulations. As part of your role, you will support your team in issuing necessary entry permits and conduct industrial hygiene sampling, including gas and noise testing to maintain safe working conditions. Your technical expertise will be invaluable as you mentor fellow professionals, guiding them to discover their motivations and nurturing their development. Minimum Qualifications: Associate's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field 12-15 years of full-time experience in a Health & Safety role 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory Health & Safety position Experience managing large projects with diverse work areas Background in both construction and general industry environments Experience conducting safety training presentations Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Willingness to travel and work on-site at project locations Valid driver's license with no major infractions Strong interpersonal and personnel management skills Knowledge of regulatory compliance and understanding of federal, state, and local agency requirements Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Safety, or a related field Jacobs is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
