Vaco has partnered with a client to fill a Cash Applications Associate to support the Accounts Receivable team by ensuring the accurate and timely posting of customer payments and reconciliation of cash transactions. This role is responsible for processing daily cash receipts, resolving payment discrepancies, balancing lockbox transactions, and supporting month-end close activities while maintaining compliance with internal controls and financial regulations. If you have cash applications experience apply today!Responsibilities Process daily cash receipts using lockbox functionality within the ERP system, including partially applied payments, on-account payments, and unprocessed check, ACH, and wire transactions, ensuring accurate application within one business day Analyze customer accounts to identify and resolve complex cash application discrepancies and payment issues Balance assigned lockboxes, ACH transactions, and wire receipts daily to ensure accuracy and completeness Communicate with external customers to ensure invoices are paid accurately and on time, while coordinating with Collections and Treasury teams regarding payment issues Provide collections teams with documentation and notes related to payment discrepancies and unapplied cash Assist with month-end close processes to ensure Accounts Receivable general ledger accounts are reconciled and balanced and all payments are properly posted and cleared Maintain organized records by saving daily cash batches and related correspondence in a timely manner Qualifications 3+ years of related experience in cash applications, accounts receivable, or payment processing is required Experience with lockbox processing systems preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (PivotTables and VLOOKUPs) Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to analyze financial information and resolve discrepancies effectively Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
