Description If you are ready to make a meaningful impact and be part of an extraordinary mission, we invite you to join our team supporting the Department of Defense's largest supercomputing centers. In this role, you will leverage your Windows Systems Administration expertise to ensure that DoD scientists have dependable access to high-performance supercomputing resources, ultimately supporting our warfighters. Location of Work: All activities will take place at the customer's site located at Wright Patterson Airforce Base, OH. Clearance Requirement: A Secret Clearance is mandatory for this position. Your contributions in this role will include: Installing, configuring, and managing Windows workstations through imaging processes. Testing, scheduling, and deploying patches to ensure compliance with standards and configuration guidelines. Handling Active Directory tasks, Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Organizational Units (OUs) while adhering to the Principle of Least Privilege. Reviewing, testing, and implementing quarterly DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs). Deploying and maintaining monitoring tools to proactively identify system bottlenecks and issues before they affect end-users. Innovating automation solutions to reduce manual, repetitive tasks. Utilizing the ServiceNow ticketing system to track and resolve user issues. Performing enhancements, configuration, and maintenance of Windows operating systems and software packages. Monitoring and tuning systems for optimal performance in line with policies and service level agreements. Conducting acceptance testing of modules and systems, ensuring proper installation and configuration of software. Demonstrating strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines. Required Qualifications: Must possess an active Secret clearance or be eligible for Interim SECRET clearance (U.S. Citizenship required). A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience. Current DOD 8570 IAT II certification, including a computing environment certification (e.g., Server+, AZ800, or AZ801) and a security certification (e.g., CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP). Excellent verbal and written communication skills with users and team members. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with configuration management. Practical experience with patching systems and applications in a DoD setting. Capability to write, troubleshoot, and enhance scripts using PowerShell, Python, or Perl.
