Job Description Summary The Senior Investment Performance Specialist is a vital member of the ERAC Investment team, reporting directly to the Head of Treasury. This role is centered around enhancing analytical capabilities, increasing forecasting precision, and ensuring data integrity across investment, operations, and treasury initiatives. Collaborating with the broader investments team, FP&A, Investment Accounting, and other stakeholders, this position will deliver actionable insights, optimize reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making. ERAC, GE Aerospace's reinsurance business unit, primarily focuses on Long Term Care (LTC) and Life reinsurance segments. The ERAC Investment team manages a portfolio of approximately $50 billion backing reinsurance liabilities. Job Responsibilities Reporting & Analytics Track and analyze investment performance across various asset classes, mandates, and managers, including all components of total return. Identify discrepancies and outliers, escalate issues, and conduct root cause analysis, collaborating with internal and external teams for resolution. Prepare Monthly Operating Review (MOR) materials, producing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the investment portfolio, utilized by senior leadership in discussions. Develop Investment Committee (IC) materials, providing portfolio composition and trend analysis to support investment discussions. Maintain standard reporting frameworks for consistent quarterly outputs, including IC Deck, MOR, performance reviews, and ad hoc reports. Oversee the 1099 tax reporting process, liaising with service providers for data coordination and reconciliation. Long Range Forecasting Assist in investment forecasting processes and maintain models to project investment portfolio performance and risk metrics over multiple time horizons. Ensure the accuracy and readiness of data for the long-range forecasting process, covering portfolio holdings, target allocations, and various assumptions. Support scenario analysis and stress testing of investment portfolios to evaluate performance under different market conditions. Data Quality & Governance Conduct periodic data quality reviews and analytics checks to proactively resolve any data exceptions across investment platforms, collaborating with the data management team. Support data governance processes, documenting sources, transformation flows, and definitions to enhance team understanding. Vendor Management Monitor investment expenses, performing actual vs. expected analysis and trend evaluation. Streamline vendor management and invoice processing workflows to ensure timely approvals and payments. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements through automation of reporting and reconciliation tasks using tools like Power BI. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in investment reporting and/or financial planning & analysis (FP&A) within the financial services sector. Desired Characteristics Understanding of financial markets and instruments, especially fixed income securities, including relevant data and risk analytics. Experience with investment reporting/analytics platforms such as Blackrock Aladdin and investment accounting platforms like Clearwater. Advanced technical skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with BI tools. Excellent communication capabilities for presenting complex data to senior stakeholders. Ability to work independently, manage multiple assignments, and consistently excel at achieving professional goals. Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, or Statistics is preferred. Familiarity with efficient business processes and tools to optimize workflows and minimize errors. Progress towards a CFA designation is a plus. The base pay range for this position is $86,000 - $115,000, influenced by factors including experience, education, and skills. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of the base salary. The posting will close on 3/31/26.
