Job Summary As a CDL Truck Driver, you will operate heavy-duty trucks equipped with various lift attachments. Your role includes transporting materials to disposal, transfer, or recycle facilities upon reaching legal load capacity. You’ll be responsible for picking up containers filled with waste or recyclable materials, with some weighing over 1,000 pounds. You’ll navigate complex environments and execute highly skilled backing maneuvers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Operate vehicles following WM Safety and Life Critical Rules, OSHA and DOT regulations, and all local, state, and federal laws. Perform pre and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, documenting checks using the standard DVIR. Report all unsafe situations or service-related issues immediately to Operations Manager or Dispatch. Participate in all required training and meetings as directed. Collaborate with Operations Manager to improve route efficiencies and best practices. Notify Operations Manager of incidents, accidents, injuries, or property damage. Communicate service interruptions to ensure smooth operations. Perform the complete dump of all receptacles, ensuring the customer location is left clean. Follow route assignments and complete end-of-day documentation. Assist other drivers as directed to meet customer needs. Qualifications Required Qualifications 1 year of experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL. 1 year of military driving experience within the last 7 years. At least 18 years old. Legally eligible to work in the U.S. CDL - Class A or Class B with air-brake endorsement. Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (accredited). Physical Requirements Standing, walking, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, reaching, handling, sitting, talking, hearing.
