Job Description As a Senior Field Service Specialist, you will be a technical leader responsible for advanced commissioning, integration, and mentorship within Copeland Professional Field Services. In this role, you'll act as a subject matter expert in refrigeration, CO2 systems, HVAC controls, and complex system architectures. Your responsibilities include leading on-site efforts, coaching colleagues, and representing Copeland with key customers and large-scale projects. This position requires extensive overnight travel. Your Responsibilities: Perform expert-level commissioning and optimization of complex refrigeration and building automation systems. Create control programs and logic sequences based on detailed specifications or Sequences of Operations. Provide expert troubleshooting for control systems, refrigeration racks, HVAC, and BMS integrations. Lead on-site teams, coordinate contractor efforts, and ensure adherence to design specifications. Oversee new store and remodel commissioning projects. Identify and qualify contractors for field, project, and commissioning services. Mentor and train junior field specialists to enhance team capability and consistency. Act as the primary technical contact for major customers and significant commissioning projects. Maintain expert knowledge of Copeland and competitor control systems (Danfoss, Carel, Novar, Honeywell, etc.), as well as third-party integrations. Document, report, and communicate findings effectively to project and leadership teams. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: 7+ years of experience in refrigeration controls, field commissioning, or system integration. Advanced knowledge of refrigeration system design, pressure/temperature relationships, and CO2 system control. Expertise in controller programming and network integration. Strong leadership and mentoring skills in field environments. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficient in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and email. Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects and provide strategic field insights. Willingness to travel 85-90% of the time. Legal work authorization in the United States; sponsorship is not available for this role. Remote Work Arrangement: This role is fully remote but may require regular travel to a Copeland site for team collaboration and customer meetings.
