Join Cardinal Health's Customer Service Operations Team! Our Customer Service team is vital in forming and nurturing customer relationships through effective management of contracts, order fulfillment, and resolving issues. We specialize in outsourcing services in medical billing and reimbursement, acting as a trusted intermediary for solving problems and addressing concerns. Your Role and Responsibilities Make outbound calls to insurance companies to determine patient service eligibility through DME or pharmacy. Ensure accurate entry of primary patient insurance information into our system. Verify insurance coverage details effectively. Handle incoming calls from patients and insurance companies regarding payment inquiries. Resolve denial issues and process appeals for private insurances and select Medicare patients. Submit required documentation to relevant insurance providers. Bill orders related to any denial or changes to patient accounts. Contact patients for additional insurance information when necessary. Maximize reimbursement opportunities for services rendered. Rebill claims to insurance providers, both electronically and via paper. Follow up with insurance companies to check on claim statuses. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations, safeguarding protected health information. Maintain detailed notes within the company system for tracking purposes. Quickly adapt to process changes and improvements. Show reliability and engagement by providing feedback to enhance processes. Attend team and company meetings as required. Route incoming calls appropriately, as needed. Meet and exceed patient service quality standards. Exhibit a service-oriented attitude with a knack for resolving insurance and patient-related issues. Qualifications 1-3 years of relevant experience preferred. High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. Refer to established policies and previous practices for guidance. Receive general direction on regular work; obtain detailed instructions for new assignments. Exhibit self-directed accountability and reliability. Display cultural competence in interactions.
