As an Engineer Specializing in Hydraulic Structures, you will join a dynamic and collaborative team of experts tackling exciting challenges across various sectors including Environment, Industry, Transportation, and Water, both domestically and internationally. Your Role: As an Engineer focusing on Hydraulic Structures, you will: Design and analyze hydraulic structures for flood control, hydroelectric systems, and various water resource projects like dams, spillways, gates, and floodwalls. Lead and coordinate project teams, ensuring effective collaboration among structural engineers and other multidisciplinary team members. Develop project proposals, including defining scopes of work, budgets, and schedules. Monitor project work, managing workload expectations and timelines effectively. Prepare detailed contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Oversee construction engineering services, reviewing shop drawings and responding to contractor inquiries. Conduct assessments of existing structures and deliver detailed inspection reports. Present technical information to project teams, clients, and review boards in an engaging manner. Facilitate risk analyses for hydraulic structures, identifying potential failure modes and participating actively in workshops. Ensure the quality of project deliverables by reviewing the work of peers. Support business development initiatives and engage in marketing activities through industry events. Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering their development and growth. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Architectural, or Structural Engineering or related discipline. Professional Engineer (PE) license. 10 years of relevant experience in hydraulic structures. Willingness to travel for project needs, both domestically and internationally. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Civil Engineering with focus on Structural Engineering. Professional Structural Engineer (PSE) license. Experience in the design and analysis of hydraulic structures governed by agencies like FERC, USACE, etc. Understanding of water and wastewater treatment plant design. Proficiency with design codes and standards. Expert knowledge in static and dynamic analysis of hydraulic structures. Experience with software for 3D finite element modeling. Location: United States - Nationwide Travel Requirements: 20% Compensation: The expected salary range begins at $133,016 and can go up to $246,043, depending on experience. Bonuses are discretionary.
