Become a Valued Team Member! As a Client Financial Accounts Bookkeeper at H&R Block, you will play a crucial role in managing and reporting financial data for our clients' businesses. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring that their financial records comply with established policies and procedures. By accurately processing financial information, proposing process enhancements, and communicating effectively with management and clients, you will directly contribute to their success. Key Responsibilities: Entering operational data into the bookkeeping system, utilizing effective methods to accurately record all financial transactions, including income, expenses, returned checks, and labor hours. Overseeing the proper endorsement and daily deposit of all checks, as well as ensuring accurate reporting of charge card transactions and bank fees. Balancing and reconciling ledgers that support the general ledger, making sure that account balances align with recorded data. Generating detailed periodic reports for clients, summarizing business income, expenses, taxes, and other pertinent financial information. Managing payroll services as needed, including preparing payroll checks and essential payroll documents while ensuring compliance with wage and hour regulations. Maintaining an organized manual filing system for hard copy documents after data has been entered into the record-keeping system. Identifying and addressing issues with processes, keeping both management and clients informed of concerns and potential solutions. Participating in meetings and training sessions to continuously enhance the quality of bookkeeping services offered to clients. Engaging in ongoing training to boost job performance and service delivery. Completing any additional tasks as assigned. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
